Hello, my name is Mr. Chidester and I teach the entire Physical Education curriculum for the 7th grade. I would like to mention it was a pleasure seeing the parents on back to school night. I also provide assistance for 6th grade Physical Education as well as 1st through 3rd grade.
I would like to inform the parents and students they can refer to this page for the recognition of the students who achieve new levels of performance in the areas of the fitness gram.
As a Physical Education teacher it is my obligation to help the students prepare for the 5 areas on the test so the students can post their best possible scores. SO LET'S GO AND TRY OUR BEST! You can come back to see who is progressing towards the healthy fitness zone.
The students of the 7th grade will be tested one time in late March in 5 different areas. The results of this test will be sent to our state's capitol in order to be monitored.
I would like to inform the Golden Springs family who is progressing towards the Healthy Fitness Zone in the mile run for the 7th grade.

I have added an incentive program that gives every student the chance to earn a colored foot token to add to their personal chain. There are 11 different colors which means the students have improved on their mile time within the 12 minutes or faster 11 different times. I would like to recognize the students who have reached the 8th level which is represented by the color RED, the 9th level which is represented by the color SILVER, the 10th level which is represented by the color GOLD and the 11th level which is represented by a GLOW in the DARK foot. There are numerous students who have earned the colors white, level 1, yellow, level 2, orange, level 3, purple, level 4, blue, level 5, green, level 6 and black, level 7. It is great to see the students wearing their feet with pride.

Also, just a note of overall performance, as of the 2nd of December there are 74% of the 7th Grade student body in the Healthy Fitness Zone in the mile run. All the students are working hard to improve on this number.
