New Playground |
 The playground in the large play area has been around for 44 years. The playground is out of code, inaccessible to handicap children and does not stimulate play. The Playground Committee is committed to raising $200,000 for a new playground by partnering with the school district, community, local businesses, professional associations and national corporations. Check this website frequently to see how you can help the progress of the playground. |

How Can You Help? |

You will see below that there are many activities this year that will help raise money towards our playground. You can use your 2 hour pledge for any of these events. Just ask how you can help. I will also include more detailed information regarding specific dates and activities for each event. |

Golden Springs Elementary has been registered to participate in a Cartoon Network sponsored program to promote recess and play in school. The NBA has also partnered with Cartoon Network to provide NBA players to be Celebrity Recess Monitor. Cartoon Network is looking for volunteers at school to promote play. We can win $25,000 in cash towards the playground and possibly equipment. How can you help?
*Volunteer to help your child's teacher during P.E.
*Volunteer at recess to coordinate play amongst children.
*Volunteer Friday mornings to coordinate children to play.
*Bring healthy snacks to class for birthday parties and holiday celebration.
Remember to log your name and time in your child's classroom.
This program does not require money, it simply requires your time. |
